Author Guidelines

REQUIREMENTS FOR AUTHOR'S ORIGINAL ARTICLES

Only manuscripts that fulfill the requirements of the journal and the Ukrainian Ministry of Education and Science for professional publications are accepted for consideration by the Editorial Board.

The following components should be present in the author's original work:

  • formulating the scientific problem generally and connecting it to field-relevant practical tasks and significant research efforts that address contemporary social development difficulties;
  • formulation of the purpose of the article (and the scientific hypothesis at the request of the author(s));
  • analysis of the latest research and publications that initiated the solution of the problem and on which the author relies;
  • highlighting previously unsolved parts of the general problem to which the article is devoted;
  • presentation of the main research material with full justification of the results obtained;
  • conclusions and prospects for further research in this area.

The journal accepts research papers that have not been previously published. The authors are responsible for the accuracy of citations and scientific facts, figures, and other information provided in the articles. The editorial board may not share the worldview beliefs and conceptual positions of the authors. If necessary, the editorial board may send the article to the author for revision. The editorial board reserves the right to edit the texts and titles of articles.

Articles without a scientific degree should be supported by a review from a doctor of science in the relevant field or a summary taken from the department meeting minutes regarding the recommendation for publishing.

All articles undergo a blind (anonymous) peer review process.

The approximate length of the article (including figures and tables) is 16-20 thousand characters with spaces.

The text should be typed in Microsoft Word; borders: left, top, bottom - 20 mm, right - 15 mm; font - Times New Roman, size - 14 pt, interval - 1.5; paragraph indentation - 1.25 cm. Text alignment: width-wise (no word hyphenation, only one space between words, no tabs).

It is important to pay attention to the following: use angle quotation marks for the text in Ukrainian, "herringbone quotation marks" - "Text", for the text in English - "Text"; distinguish between hyphens and dashes (dashes are longer than hyphens, separated by spaces on both sides); put non-breaking spaces (simultaneously press Ctrl+Shift+space) between initials and surname, between date and year, etc. (for example: V. Stus; pp. 22–28; March 27, 2016; Kyiv); unify abbreviations (for example, choose one of the options - 2014 or 2014); decipher abbreviations at the first mention.

Figures and tables should be drawn up in accordance with the current state standard. Diagrams, graphs, charts, formulas and tables should be created directly in a text editor and placed strictly within the page dimensions specified above. Create tables using the "Table" menu item. The format of tables is book format only.

The manuscript of the article should be submitted in electronic form (doc or rtf format) to the e-mail address:: publicnetworksandcommunication@gmail.com indicating the author's name in Latin (for example: Chaltseva).

The list of references is arranged either alphabetically or in the order of their use after the text of the article with the subtitle “Bibliographic list:” and is drawn up in accordance with the requirements of DSTU 8302:2015 and is executed in the original language. It is advisable, if available, to provide the DOI address of the cited material. Sources in the list of references are numbered manually (without using the Word menu function “Format – List – Numbered”). References to literature in the text are given according to the following pattern: [5, p. 87], where 5 is the serial number of the source in the list of literature, 87 is the page. References to several sources at the same time are given as follows: [3, p. 5-6] or [3, p. 145; 5, p. 25; 7, p. 348]. If the Bibliographic List contains at least one publication in Cyrillic, it is followed by References – a bibliographic list in a “Latinized” form: in it, all Cyrillic letters are transliterated into Latin. For automatic transliteration of Cyrillic sources, you can use the website https://slovnyk.ua/translit.php.

Structure of the article: UDC, full name and surname of the author, name of the organization, ORCID-identifier of the author, title of the article, abstract and keywords in Ukrainian, text of the article, References (according to Chicago Style: Notes and Bibliography), Bibliography (according to Chicago Style: Notes and Bibliography); full name and surname of the author, name of the organization, title of the article, abstract and keywords in English.
